Hi there. I didn't attend MAHS, but last weekend I found a copy of the 1967 MAHS yearbook at a flea market in Toronto. The owner's name, Igor L., is inscribed inside the front cover. (I'm not giving Igor's full last name out of respect for his privacy). The inscriptions in the book refer to Igor's being a senior next year (i.e., class of 1968). I wonder how it ended up at a flea market in Toronto? Maybe somewhere down the line it got tossed out by accident.

Igor, if you're out there reading this, and you want you yearbook back, send me a private message on this forum.

Interestingly, last weekend I came across a copy of the 1961 Munich American High School yearbook at the same fleamarket. It was the same vendor where I found the 1967 edition. This one was heavily water damaged though. No inscriptions.

Unfortunately it turns out Igor passed away in 2008...here's a link to the obituary.

This explains why his yearbook turned up at the fleamarket in Toronto...Burlington is a small city near Toronto. Requiescat in pace.

Visitor1,

Thanks for this...for the following up...for the searching out of the board to begin with. I don't know how much you've poked around the board here, but you can see that the community associated with the school sees itself as bound tightly, even if members of it are out of touch for a long while.

That you found the book and went searching and ended up here and then passed on news we didn't know is much appreciated by those of us who come here.

again, much appreciated.

You’re very welcome Mr. Bill. I’m glad to help out. I did look around on the board and the school spirit you guys have is obvious.
