I remember going to hospital hill mostly for football practice , but I also remember going there with some one special and just sitting down on the hill . It was a great place to get away from everything and just being together. Alot of memories happen there that I cant bring up on here.
i dont know if you will remember the hill ,but about 3/4s ways up on the hill was a flat area before going up to the top.Thats were I always would sit. I just remember the beauty of there area, was a little sucluded.
So what doe the Hill bring back to you....... |

I always heard that Hospital Hill was man-made out of rubble left from WWII...can anyone verify or debunk this?

I forgot that we called it that, but I have fond memories of that place too. , not to mention the baseball dugouts if it was a wet day. We also went sledding there in the winter. I agree, old rubble kan be put to good use. _________________ Clamo,

new post to an old thread..
Hospital Hill.. What a fantastic little "ski Jump" that was in the winter. Loved that middle bump. Just perfect enough to get terminal velocity on your slef of choice....
I remember my weekend walks there w/ friends. Get that tobogan up to about 89.4 MPH and hit that hill, fly over those 10ppl you placed there as markers to jump over and hit that landing on your head and fly over your sled another 20 feet.
Get a bloodynose,, then 5 mins later do it again!
what memories!

I remember it well. We use to go down standing on our sleds. When that got tame, we went down on ice skates. My fondest memory is riding on Ray Loaders sholders as we sled down that hill and went over the jump. Surprisingly, we both survived it! Jim 1967 _________________ Jim |
